Dry January Recommendations from Hawaii Home Group

Dry January is all the rage this year, I don’t know about you, but I’m super intrigued by all the new zero proof spirits and aperitifs out there. There’s a few that I’ve tried and now the algorithms have me pegged – I see all the suggestions. I’ve realized just how many fun options there are out there!
 
Katy Perry has some options I’ve tried – Apothekary and De Soi. I love De Soi! They come in a cans and bottles that make it easy to pour and enjoy. There are 3 different flavors. After testing a variety pack, my favorite was Purple Lune – notes of blackberry nectar, vanilla oak, and rose petals. It tastes like a tangy, slightly-sweet, red wine/kombucha. While I enjoyed these, they contain an extra which contains caffeine. While I enjoyed them, I have a preference for something caffeine free… I just placed an ordered for her other brand Apothekary… stay tuned!
 
There are also some zero proof spirits out there too! Ritual is one of those. They say their goal “wasn’t to replace liquor… but to add a new tool to our cocktail kit. Another way to mark a moment.” They carry tequila, rum, whiskey & gin alternatives and have loads of recipes online to help you make the perfect sober cocktail. I personally can’t wait to try their Tiki Buck recipe. 
 
Another company I’ve been keeping an eye on is Seedlip. They have 3 different flavors, all with 0 sugar and 0 calories. I recently enjoyed dinner at StripSteak in Waikiki and they had an amazing beverage on the menu – Punch 94. Seedlip 94 is a primary component! I assure you I did not miss the alcohol! If you decide to visit be sure to try their Ahi Tuna Crudo Rolls also – honestly one of my favorite ahi pupus ever!
